–MODERN DAY–

[the scene starts in a large OFFICE. for a flash of a second there is something HORRIBLE about the office. it reminds you of the principal’s office - of the office of your scary boss - of the room where your first relationship stood you up publicly - every terrible thing. it makes your hair stand up.

then the feeling is gone. the office is underspokenly beautiful and expensive. dark wood. floor to ceiling windows. a bookshelf stocked with old books, rocks glasses and a fancy thing of liquor. the center of the office is a huge desk, which is without a doubt, cost more than a human makes in a year.

at the office sits a man. GEORGE WASHINGTON. washington is dark, tall, broad, and imposing. his face is impassive. he studies a file on his desk.

cut to the file. on it is a passport photo of a MAN - early 30′s, latino, with long hair and a goatee.

the camera PANS AROUND to the other person in the office - a portly, rich man. where as WASHINGTON’S wealth is understated, in the cut of the suit and the sight of his watch, this man - HENRY KNOX - wears several gold rings.]

[they discuss the file - ALEXANDER HAMILTON, THE MAN IN THE FILE - BRIEFLY. The man is peculiar. He is a top employee. KNOX speaks of how good he is. WASHINGTON is doubtful.]
