Does Lafayette allow the servants to set up betting pools? If so which betting pools are currently running and what are the stakes?

there are definitely betting pools. lafayette basically knows about everything in the house, and it’s really hard to keep a secret from him. when he first became steward, he was staunchly anti-betting, but he’s mellowed out a lot and now there’s all kinds of betting pool.

there are all kinds of betting pools and lafayette approves of them varying amount, but trying to squash out betting is really, really hard and just generates resentment so most of the betting goes on .

there are lots of levels of betting. there isn’t a lot of betting about washington because he’s a cool boss and they don’t really want to fuck with him and betting can make bad karma. there is, however, lots of betting about hamilton because he’s so WEIRD. actuall they made a bet on when they would fuck because of the chemistry’s there - but they’ve kind of given up on it. they bet on the other nobles a lot.
