greenhouses burn



ok, but burn alternate universe greenhouses where eliza is washington.

alex & washington get into a fight

alex makes it up to him with love letters and political supportive documents

but then he cheats on him (politically? no one needs to know me - they don’t like you. romantically?) whatever, not important.

so then washington obviously can’t take significant actions publicly because he has to be the stone general but

let future historians wonder how the general reacted when you broke his heart

the world has no right to my heart
the world has no place in our bed
they don’t get to know what i said


and obviously the is significant because here’s a person who knows all of his actions and stuff will be scruntinzed and, like eliza, takes this dramatic step to make people wonder what the hell happened becuase all of his letters are gone. and you can have all his military failures and political drama, whatever, but you don’t get this. this is mine.
