Greenhouses verse prompt: Hamilton tries to distract Washington from his work in the greenhouse by making up a theory that having sex there would be good for the plants. Washington's reaction is entirely up to you.
“You know,” Hamilton said, behind him, although he was not really paying attention as he added additional soil to a newly-plotted shoot, “I once read a study where a botanist had a very good response from flowers that he complimented and congratulated on their growing. He had two groups of a variety of plants, and he provided the same soil and fertilizer and such, but one he told them how nice they were growing, and such, and the other he did not.”
Washington studied his setup. Hamilton, as he was wont to do, continued talking.
“The group he had complimented grew much higher and had much brighter flowers, than the other ones. So, if we may continue this train of thought - how are we to get brighter flowers? Well, what are flowers used for? pollination, and reproduction.”
At this juncture, Washington had a firm idea of where this conversation was going, and he turned to face his husband, wiping the dirt off his hands.
“Perhaps we could have brighter blooms if we gave the plants a better idea of such an act,” Hamilton added, and smiled a sly, devious little smile once he noticed he was being watched.
“A greenhouse floor is a very unpleasant place to be lying bare,” Washington said, his voice even.
“We could set down a blanket,” Hamilton replied. “Perhaps roll ourselves up in it. The flowers would see we have potted and bloomed.”
“This is a very poor seduction attempt, and I know you to be much more capable.”
His husband pouted. “Do not make me try to seduce you harder, sir. I will.”
