so how does hamilton eventually get home, and what is the reunion like?

idk, all options are great.

a) hamilton escapes and appears

b) hamilton is traded for

or i guess there coudl be really bad endings, but.. that’s not really worth thinking about atm

anyway regardless of how hamilton ends back up in war camp, since washington is running the army he doesn’t really have a lot of time for tender reunions but i think there’s a choked sob or two and hiding in washington’s war manor and holding each other very closely and just breathing in the other person and being grateful that everyone’s live, untortured, etc etc. also washington can’t find it in him to reassign hamilton to a new battalion and he’s dreading hamilton leaving but hamilton keeps finding reasons to stay in camp near him and provide nightly reports - inspector general maybe? so that’s a relief. but as they’re moderately pretending not to be married, the lengthier reunions are out of the question. literally this question has like ten thousand answers of every axis of sadness.
