Sep. 10th, 2016 05:58 pmhave you ever thought about combining greenhouses with dark whamilton content and making something with like, a dark greenhouses vibe?? bc the earlier chapters are are such a fertile (heh) playing ground for things to go wrong in excellent ways. idk what the purpose of this ask was, that's just where my mind is at today..
this is actually not the first dark greenhouses ask i’ve ever gotten i think. i guess the most comprehensive answer i can give to this question:
-i definitely agree that the story, especially the first half, is a very fertile valley where things can go wrong in bad ways. there’s lots of power dynamics stuff that could be considered. (i definitely imagined washington actually locking hamilton in a root cellar at some point)
-that being said, one of the reasons i like the story is that the characters, despite all their flaws, are generally good people, and i don’t really want to write an alternate verse when they’re bad. (washington as an external noble paragon of virtue learning about how more about himself is also a lot less generally horrifying to write/explore)
-i wouldn’t be opposed to another person being in that sandbox, though.
-what entertains me more, admittedly is the thought of greenhouses!washington, who for all intends and purposes is lawful good, bashing heads with ironflint!wash, who is completely devoid of ethics and lawful evil. that’d be quite a bout.
