Hamilton/Laurens, greenhouse!verse, before Alex is engaged.
they hide in an abandoned servants’ quarters building in the back of the estate, which they have both gotten to know very well. they know which boards creek and how to know when someone is coming; they know the sound of the unsealed windows vs feet on the leaves outside; they know each other, and that’s the point of it. they know they should not be here, with eachother, like this, with john’s tongue in his mouth - that john is engaged to some woman he finds perfectly adequate but otherwise uninteresting, and he is monstrously unmarriagable enough, before his purity is brought up.
so maybe spite is part of it, feeds the pleasure when john is inside him, when john nips, not hard enough to bruise because his servants would rat, when john touches him, brutish and elegant all at once, reckless and needing like john does. alexander knows john touches him with the fury of being restrained and held back and coddled; john pushes inside of him with his desire to be more, to fight, to be promoted, to go to battle; john bites him with and in spite and alexander sorely hopes that it’s better for him, too.
“oh, john,” alexander says, john bites back his gasp and claims him, becuase he is his, and only HE can give himself away, and he gives himself to john. only john can take him, and john does, becuase he can.
