I have this really strong image of Alex shaking uncontrollably and telling himself "whatever, I'm fine," and the dog just bares its teeth and growls in the most terrifying way at him until Alex hugs it and tells the dog to shut the fuck up already and the dog quiets right down.

not sure what the dog’s name is. usually he refers to the dog as “fuckface” “shithead,” or “asshole.” sometimes “you stupid mutt.” he gets the dog his own collar because he tossed most of his in an effort to have a less deranged relationship with sex.
