alex celebrates holidays by getting even more drunk than usual to ignore all those shitty commercials about holiday cheer, having friends, family warmth, getting together with those who care about you, and all the other gaping psychological issues that fester in his psyche.

washington celebrates holidays only when he is around someone who will give him a hard time for not doing it, but he thinks this is all a lot of pointless social signaling. he does attend charity holiday galas though, his least favorite charity galas, because you have to care about the holidays AND the charities.

alex actually convinces washington to go on vacation (read: gets washington to go on vacation so he can go on vacation) so he can skip the christmas cheer he so despises. they do spend a nice holiday on an isolated beach villa with internet where washington mostly works and bangs alex until he can’t stand up, and alex mostly reads economics books and is banged until he can’t stand up
